At a General Half Yearly Meeting of the Proprietors of the Stroudwater Navigation held at their Committee Room at Wallbridge on Wednesday the 25^th day of April 1855
J C Croome Chairman.
The Minutes of the last General Assembly were read approved and confirmed.
The Several Books and Accounts were produced as directed by the Act of Parliament & were examined.
It appears that the sum of 2428^£..-^s..7^d has been received for Tonnage, etc, from the first day of October last to the first day of April 1855 part of which has been applied towards Wages Disbursements, etc, and then there remains in the Hands of the Treasurer after paying the last Dividend the sum of £1709..14..9.
Ordered that a Dividend of £8..10..0 on each share be declared payable on the first day of May next.
M^R Ford attended and proposed to have a convenience for unloading Barges near a Warehouse intended to be built at the Ryeford Bridge or Mill resolved that M^r Eycott, M^r Warman & M^r Beard be appointed a deputation to meet M^r Ford on the spot & report their opinion to the next meeting of the Committee who will be authorized to act upon the matter.
Ordered that the Committee for the ensuing (?) consist of nine members & the following Gentlemen were elected members of the Committee:
M^r Beard, M^r Harris, M^r Eycott, M^r Fryer, M^r Hawker, M^r Warman, M^r Hooper, M^r Croome, M^r Martin.
