Summary

At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee Room at Wallbridge on Wednesday the 12^th day of December 1855
Present: M^r J H Warman, M^r H Harris Chairman, C Hawker, W Fryer, F Eycott, T C Croome, G H A Beard.
M^r Partridge reported that a false account had been given by M^r Knee's Captain of the cargo of the "Sisters" on the return voyage on 30^th Nov^r last which was said to be 300 feet of Timber but in fact measured 414 feet. Ordered that M^r Knee be charged the additional Tonnage & be informed that the penalty will be inforced if future irregularities are discovered.
M^r Driver reported an application from M^r Ja^s Nurse for the bars of the old Bridge to be used in erecting a Shed & Stable at Dudbridge Wharf -- resolved that M^r Nurse be allowed to use the said Bars on condition that any building or erection he may put up shall be considered to be the property of this Company.
Ordered that Mess^rs Martin & C^o supply 3 doz of Port Wine & 3 doz of Bucellas of the usual quality for the use of the Meetings of this Company.
Ordered that the following Bills & Accounts be paid:
