General Half Yearly Meeting;
Tonnage since 1 October 1855 £2391 9s 3d. After wages, etc, £1830 0s 5d profit. Dividend of £9 declared.
At a General Half Yearly Meeting of the Proprietors of the Stroudwater Navigation held at their Committee Room at Wallbridge on Wednesday the 23^rd day of April 1856

The Minutes of the last General Assembly were read approved and confirmed.
The several books & Accounts were produced as directed by the Act of Parliament & were examined and passed.
I appears that the sum of 2391^£..9^s,,3^d has been received for Tonnage, etc, from the first day of October last to the first day of April 1856 part of which has been applied towards the payment of Wages Disbursements, etc, and there remains in the Hands of the Treasurer after paying the last Dividend the sum of £1850..-..5.
Ordered that a Dividend of Nine pounds on each share be declared payable on the first day of May next.
Ordered that the Committee for the ensuing year do consist of ten members and the following Gentlemen were selected members of the Committee:
M^r Beard, M^r Martin, M^r Eycott, M^r Harris, M^r Hawker, M^r Fryer, M^r Hooper, M^r Warman, M^r Marling, M^r Croome.
Ordered that the annual Stoppage do take place on the 10^th to the 21^st Ma both days inclusive.
