Mr Knee to be allowed £2 per annum for locking and unlocking doors of Wallbridge Wharf at proper hours.
Mr Croome to enforce a settlement of account on Mr Nurse.
At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee Room at Wallbridge on Wednesday the 18^th day of March 1857
Present: M^r F Eycott, M^r G H A Beard Chairman, C Hawker, H Harris, J H Warman, R^d Martin, W^m Fryer, C Hooper, T C Croome.
Resolved that M^r Knee be allowed a sum after the rate of £2 per annum for undertaking the duties of locking and unlocking the doors of Wallbridge Wharf at the proper hours.
M^r Partridge reported that M^r Ja^S Nurse has not kept his promise of a payment on account of his balance.
Resolved that M^r Croome be instructed to call on him for payment and to enforce a settlement unless M^r Nurse can show a satisfactory account and prospect of making up the amount on being allowed further time.
Resolved that the following accounts be paid viz:
M^r Partridge 1 Quarter Salary due 25^th Ins't: 25^£..0^s..0^d
Driver 1 Quarter Salary due 25^th Ins't: 20..0..0
J Burbidge 2 Months Salary due 20 Ins't: 11..0..0
E Cooper ½ year Salary due 25 Ins't: 7..17..6
Ordered that the next General Half Yearly Meeting do take place on Wednesday the 22^d April next at 3 O'Clock and the Monthly Meeting of the Committee on the same day at 2 O'Clock and that M^r Partridge do give the requisite notices in the usual way.
