At a Special General Meeting of the Proprietors of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee Room at Wallbridge on Wednesday the 22^d day of July 1857
Cha^s Hooper Esq^r in the Chair.
The Case stated (with M^r Phipson's Opinion thereon) as to the Company's rights in relation to the Bridge at Ebley Mill were read and considered.
Resolved that no proceedings be taken in the matter.
Resolved that the Committee reconsider the rated of Tonnage on Coals with a view to ascertain if a Mileage rate can be established subject to such exceptions as may be deemed needful and that they report thereon at the next General Half Yearly Meeting.
Resolved that the usual yearly inspection of the Navigation take place on Wednesday the 5^th August next.
