Mr Bruce, the Engineer, and Mr Simms, the Solicitor, of the Stonehouse & Nailsworth Railway Company proposed a solution for Stonehouse Wharf that seemed satisfactory to the committee. Asked to put proposal in writing with a sketch to illustrate them.
At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at held at the Committee Room at Wallbridge on Tuesday the 21^st day of April 1863

The various Accounts Books and Vouchers signed by M^r Cooper the Auditor and certified to be correct were produced and examined and passed.
The Treasurer's Book was produced and signed.
Ordered that the following be paid:
Half year income tax to 20 March: 52..16..3.
M^r Bruse the Engineer & M^R B B Smith the Solicitor of the Stonehouse & Nailsworth Railway Company attended and submitted to the Committee their vicews for meeting the difficulty at Stonehouse Wharf, which appeared Satisfactory, and they were requested to put their views in writing and forward them to this Company accompanied by a sketch to illustrate them and the Company would then finally decide upon it.
