Summary

Mrs Nurse informed that Company would let cottage adjoining Josh Cottle’s at Dudbridge to her from Michaelmas next at yearly rent of £6 6s payable quarterly.

At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee Room at Wallbridge on Tuesday the 15^th day of September 1863
Present: M^r J H Warman, M^r H Harris Chairman, F Eycott, G H A Beard, C H Fisher.
A letter was read from M^r W B Clegram requesting permission to make a temporary cut from the Canal to the Brook at or near Whitminster Lock for the purpose of taking materials for repairs which were about to be done there by the Gloucester and Berkeley Canal Company.
Resolved that the permission be granted under the superintendence of the Company's Surveyor and the Clerk write to M^r Clegram to that effect.
M^rs Nurse attended and was informed that the Company would let the Cottage adjoining Jos^h Cottle's at Dudbridge to her from Michaelmas next at a yearly Rent of £6..6 payable quarterly with a Quarter's notice to quit on either side at any Quarter of the year and she assented thereto.
Ordered that the General Half Yearly Meeting be held on Tuesday the 27^th October next at Two o'Clock and the Clerk give the usual notices and that the Meeting of the Committee be held on the same day at 12.20 o'Clock.
