Summary

Half Yearly General Meeting. Tonnage £1334 14s 3d. Balance after wages, etc, £1094 14s 9d. Dividend of £5 declared.
It having been reported by the Committee that the sum of £61 has been expended in cleansing our upper level from mud which has been collected principally by mud brought down the Badbrook [Slad Brook] which has deposited itself in the lowest level of the Thames & Severn Canal and has been afterwards conveyed by the passing of vessels into the Stroudwater Canal, resolved that the Thames & Severn Canal Committee be requested to build an aqueduct as soon as possible to convey the Badbrook Stream under the Thames & Severn Canal.
Mr Edward Hill had proposed to pay 20 guineas for the purchase of ground containing about [blank] feet on each side of Hills Bridge on which a warehouse has been erected, he undertaking to keep in repair that part of the bridge that is connected with the warehouse. Proposal accepted, the seal of the Company to be affixed to a conveyance of the same.
Mr Lewis attended proposing to pay 1s 6d per ton tonnage to the Company to land coal opposite his Dye house below Brimscombe Bridge rather than to convey it from the wharf at Brimscombe. Proposal complied with, it being evidently favourable to the interests of the Company.
Tonnage on road stone to be raised to 2s per ton to Wallbridge and so in proportion in future.
Sir Samuel Wathen appointed a Committee man for the ensuing half year in the room of the late Rev. William Ellis.
