Summary

Application having been made to Mr Joseph Lewis in consequence of the order of 22 May, it appeared that he had landed the coals within the distance prescribed by the Thames & Severn Canals Act of Parliament merely in consequence of Brimscombe Wharf having been so loaded with coals as to prevent the landing of more and Mr Lewis having promised not again to landing articles within the limits, ordered that no future notice be taken of the business.
Samuel Lysons Esq claimed share no.154, will of Rev Sam Peach.
Bill drawn on the Treasurer for the sum of £278 8s 10d for the use of the navigation.

At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee room at Walbridge on Monday the 8^th of October 1804
Present: Nath^l Wathen, Benj^n Grazebrook, Rev^d J Colborne, Jos^h Grazebrook, John Allaway, Rowles Scudamore.
Read the Minutes of the last Meeting.
Continued the Orders of the last Meeting.
Application having been made to M^r Josh Lewis in consequence of the Order of the 22^nd May, it appeared that he had landed the Coals within the distance prescribed by the Thames and Severn Act of Parliament merely in consequence of Brimscombe Wharf being so loaded with Coal as to prevent the landing of more, and M^r Lewis having promised not again to land any article within the limits. Ordered that no future notice be taken of the business.
M^r Joseph Grazebrook attended on behalf of Sam^l Lysons Esq^r, Nephew and sole Executor of the Rev^d Sam^l Peach late of East Sheen in the County of Surrey deceased, and made out his Claim to one Share No 154 in the Stroud water Navigation by producing the Probate of the Will of the said Sam^l Peach bearing date 31^st Jan^y 1797 and duly proved in the Perogative Court of the Archbishop of Canterbury 14^th March 1803 and tha said Claim is hereby admitted.
Ordered that a Bill be drawn on the Treasurer for the Sum of Two Hundred & seventy eight Pounds eight Shillings and ten pence for the use of the navigation.
Adjourned this meeting to Monday the 5^th of Nov next at 3 o'Clock in the Afternoon at the Committee room at Walbridge
