Twelve or fourteen hundred feet of oak timber to be purchased for the use of the navigation.
It appearing to the Committee that a mistake of 6d per ton advance on the Bristol Road stone was made in the entry of the last General Half yearly meeting and that any advance whatever would be a like prejudicial to the Canal and Country, a bounty or drawback of 1s per ton will be allowed on all such stone as may be imported from this time.
At a meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee room at Walbridge on Monday the 5^th of Nov 1804
Present: Samuel Wathen, Jn^o Allaway, Henry Burgh, Jos^h Grazebrook, Rev^d J Colborne, Rowles Scudamore, Nath^l Wathen, Nath^l Jones, Benj^n Grazebrooke.
Read the Minutes of the last Meeting.
Continued the Orders of the last Meeting.
Ordered that about twelve or fourteen Hundred ^Feet of Oak Timber be purchased for the use of the Navigation. It appearing to the Committee that a mistake of 6^d per Ton on the Bristol Road Stone was made in the entry of the the last Half Yearly General Meeting and that any advance whatever would be like prejudicial to the Canal and Country. Ordered that a Bounty or drawback of 1^s per Ton be allowed an all such Stone as may be imported from this time.
