Summary

Letter from John Yates junior concerning the injury done to the Company’s small boat at Framilode. Clerk to inform him that if he will pay half the expense of new boat of the same dimensions the committee will receive the same as a satisfaction, they being convinced from the information given that the damages was occasioned from carelessness of Mr Yates men.
Our clerk reported that he had received a verbal message from Mr Denyer, clerk to the Thames & Severn Canal, declining to make the proposed aqueduct to convey the Badbrook stream under their canal. Consideration of this subject to be referred to the next general meeting.

At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroud water Navigation held at the Committee rooms at Walbridge on Monday the 26^th of August 1805
Present: Rev^d J Colborne, Jn^o Allaway, Sir Samuel Wathen, Rowles Scudamore, Jn^o Tyers, W^m Sevill, Benj^n Grazebrook, Nath^l Jones, Josh Grazebrook.
Read the Minutes of the last Meeting.
Continued the Orders of the last Meeting.
Received a Letter from Jn^o Yates Jn^r respecting the injury done to the Companys small Boat at Framiload. Ordered that our Clerk do inform him that if he will pay half the expence of a new Boat of the same dimensions the Committee will receive the same as a satisfaction. They being convinced from the Information given that the Damages was occasioned from the carelessness of M^r Yates Men.
Our Clerk reported that he had received a Verbal message from M^r Denyer Clerk to the Thames and Severn Canal declining to make the proposed Aqueduct to convey the Badbrook Stream under their Canal.
Ordered that further consideration of this Subject be reffer^d to the next General Meeting.
Adjournd this Meeting to Monday the 7^th of October next at 3 oClock in the Afternoon at the Committee room at Walbridge
