Summary

Annual inspection on the Company's barge.
New gates to be put in at Dudbridge Lock and other repairs there.
Robert Harper to have an increase of 2d per ton on Newport Coals and Shropshire slack sold at Dudbridge Wharf.
Double Lock gates to be repaired as soon as possible.
Application made by Mr Crowdy to affix the Company Seal to a petition now depending in Parliament for making a Navigable Canal from Wilts & Berks Canal in the parish of Swindon to the Thames & Severn Canal at or near Latton approved.
Levels at Wheatenhurst and Ebley be cleansed of mud and that Mr Hains do request James Pickard to attend a meeting of the Committee at ten o’clock on Monday morning next and that usual notices be given to the barge masters regularly trading upon the canal.
The lock at Chippenham Platt, and also at Court Orchard, to be put in a perfect state of operation.
William Beard shall go to ??? and order two barge loads of brick, and also engage a sufficient number of bricklayers to repair the above mentioned locks and obtain limestone to prosecute the work on the line of the canal.
William Graves, master of William Wild’s barge, is to be prosecuted for the breach of the byelaws in carrying sail hoisted through the locks and bridges.
The bye laws prohibiting the use of shafts shod with iron on the canal to be put in force and that notice be previously given.
Advertisement be inserted in the Cambrian newspaper requesting quotes for supply of best Monmouthshire coals.

At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held on Board the Companys Barge on Friday the 4^th of June 1813
Present: James Tyers, P H Fisher, John Snowden, Tho^s Carruthers, W^m Stanton, John Morgan, Tho^s Holbrow, Alex^r Townsend, Houn Holbrow, Jos^h Grazebrook.
Read the Minutes of the last Meeting.
Ordered that new Gates be put at Dudbridge Lock and other repairs there wanting to be done.
Ordered that Robert Harper shall have and increase of 2^d per Ton on Newport Coal and Shropshire Slack sold at Dudbridge Wharf. Ordered that the Double Lock gates be repaired as soon as possible.
An application having been made by M^r Crowdy to affix the Seal of the Company to a Petition now depending in Parliament for making a Navigable Canal from Wilts and Berks Canal in the Parish of Swindon in the County of Wilts to join the Thames and Severn Canal at or near Latton, Ordered that the same be forthwith executed and transmitted to M^r Crowdy.
Ordered that the Levels at Wheatenhurst and Ebley be cleared of mud, and that M^r Hains do request Ja^s Pickard to attend a Meeting of the Committee at Ten o'Clock on Monday Morning next at the Committee room at Walbridge, and that usual notices be given to the Masters regularly trading upon the Canal. Order'd that the Lock at Chippenhams Platt and also that at Court Orchard be put in a proper State of reparation. Order'd that Will^m Beard shall go to (?Formpstill) and order two Barge Load of Brick, and also engage a sufficient number of Bricklayers to repair the above mentioned Locks and obtain Limestone to prosecute the work on the line of the Canal. Order'd that Will^m Graves Master of Will^m Wilds Barge be proceeded against for breach of the Bye Law in carrying the Sail hoisted through the Locks and Bridges.
Ordered that the Bye Law prohibiting the use of Shafts shod with Iron on the Canal (if any) be put in force and that Notice be previously given. Order'd that the following Advertisement be inserted in the Cambrian newspaper:
"The Committee of the Stroudwater Canal Navigation are desirous of entering into a Contract with Proprietors of Coal Works for a supply of Monmouthshire Coal of the best quality. Proprietors are requested to state the prices and terms to M^r Hains Stroudwater Gloucestershire."
Adjourned this Meeting to Monday the 7^th Ins^t at 11 o'Clock in the forenoon at the Committee room at Walbridge.
