At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee Room at Walbridge on Staturday the 21^st day of February 1818
Present: Nath Jones, John Snowden, Rev J Jones, John Morgan, W^m Stanton, Rowles Scudamore, P H Fisher, George Wathen.
At a special meeting to consider the Clauses of the Bill now before Parliament for allowing the line of the Gloucester and Berkeley Canal Navigation.

Ordered that M^r Fisher do proceed to Town to day for the purpose of a conference with the Solicitors of the Gloucester and Berkeley Canal Company, & to insist that a clause similar to that introduced into the last Bill for reserving all the rights, etc, of the Stroudwater Navigation be introduced into the present Bill; or that the said Bill be opposed.
And that M^r Fisher and M^r Wathen be appointed to watch the progress of the said Bill; and that they do employ Counsel, and do any other act which they deem necessary herein, for enforcing the introduction of the said Clause, or for opposing the Bill.
