Summary

Finding an error in the calculation at the last meeting concerning the tonnage to be charged on corn, agreed an amended recommendation to the next General Meeting. 36⅔%, 30% and 12% to be charged.
Mr Mason authorised to purchase a capstan for two pounds.

At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee Room at Walbridge on Friday the 16^th Day of April 1841
Present: M^r Cosham, M^r Holbrow, M^r Jos F Fisher, M^r Wathen, M^r Beard, M^r Jn^o Stanton, M^r Wyatt, M^r Hughes, M^r Martin, M^r Croome, M^r Fred Eycott.
At this Meeting the minutes of the last Meeting were read.
The allowance as recommended at the last Meeting to be made upon the Tonnage on (?) was again considered, & finding that there was an _error_ in the calculation made at the said Meeting:-
It was Resolved that the recommendation to the said next General Meeting of the said Proprietors be, in case they shall rescind the Resolution as to the mode of charging Tonnage on Wheat made at the last Geenral Half yearly meeting, that an allowance by way of drawback shall be made of 36£..13^s..4^d per Cent n the Tonnage of all Wheat carried on the said Navigaion, as stated at the last Meeting, instead of 33½ per Cent as _there_ mentioned; and an Allowance by way of drawback after the rate of 30£ per Cent on the Tonnage carried on the said Navigation below the short Level at Dudbridge and not above that place, an allowance by way of drawback after the rate of £12 per Cent, on the Tonnage of all Wheat carried on the said Navigation below the double Locks and not above that place, and an allowance by way of drawback after the rate of .. per Cent on the Tonnage on all Wheat carried on the said Navigation below the Bridge at Eastington and not above that place.
Ordered that M^r Mason be authorized to purchase a Capstain offer him by ….. at the Sum of two puunds being the price M^r Mason stated the Capstain was offered to Him.
This Committee Meeting is adjourned to Friday next the 23^rd Inst^t at the Committee Room at Walbridge at 12 O'Clock.
