Summary

Special Meeting. Proposal that £15 be appropriated towards Mr Sherwood's and George Williams' expenses to London. Amendment by Mr Wood seconded by Mr Martin that attendance was not directed by Company. Expenses ought not fall on them. Motion carried 4 to 2.

At a Special Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee Room at Wallbridge on Monday July 7th 1845
Present: M^r Dan Watts, G H A Beard, Jn^o Holbrow, Jn^o Gurney, Rich^d Martin, W^m J Wood Chairman.
M^r Gurney attended on the part of our Solicitor and explained the proceedings which had taken place since the last Committee Meeting with reference tot he South Wales Railway Bill.
Proposed by M^r Gurney and seconded by M^r Holbrow,
That the Sum of Fifteen pounds be appropriated towards M^r Sherwoods and Geo WIlliams expenses to London during the last Week.
Amendment proposed by M^r Wood and seconded by M^R Martin,
That as it appears the attendance before the Committee of M^r Sherwood and George Williams was not directed by this Company, the expenses ought no to fall upon them.
Original motion carried 4 to 2.
