Summary

Mr Peyton reported that on 26 August, J Browning, captain of the barge Lewis, sent his man to draw water from the double locks which was contrary to the instructions of the lockkeeper. Browning fined 2s 6d.
Mr G Ford attended requesting the general reduction of tonnage on all goods brought to Ryeford by canal. Question postponed until the next.
Notice given to G Nurse to quit the Wharf and premises at Dudbridge at Christmas next.

At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee Room at Wallbridge on Tuesday the 17^th day of September 1867
Present: M^r G H A Beard, J T Fisher Chairman, J C Hallwell, T M Croome, T Marling.
M^r Peyton reported that on the 26^th of August last J Browning Captain of the Barge Lewis sent his man to draw the Water from the Double Locks which he did contrary to the instructions of the Lockkeeper.
Resolved that J Browning be fined 2^s/6^d.
M^r G Ford attended respecting the general reduction of Tonnage on all goods brought to Ryeford by Canal.
Resolved that the question be postponed until the next Meeting when the proposition shall be carefully considered.
Resolved that notice be given to G Nurse to quit the Wharf and premised at Dudbridge on Christmas next..
Ordered that the Half Yearly General Meeting be held on Monday the 28^th day of October at 2 o'clock and the Committee Meeting be held at 12-39 on the same day.
