Summary

General Half Yearly Meeting. Tonnage from 1 April £1629 18s 2d. After wages, etc, profit £1144 18s 2d. Dividend of £5 10s declared.
Reinstatement of certain disqualified Committee members agreed (because of non-attendance at meetings): Messrs F Thornton, C Hooper, C Hawker, H H Wilton, C H Fisher.
To promote the interests of the Canal by attracting a larger attendance of shareholders at the next general half yearly meeting a formal dinner should take place.

At a General Half Yearly Meeting of the Company of Proprietors of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee Room at Wallbridge on Monday the 28^th day of October 1867
C H Fisher in the Chair.
The Minutes of the Committee since the last General Assembly were read approved and confirmed.
The several books and Accounts were produced as directed by Act of Parliament and were examined and passed.
It appears that the sum of 1629^£..18^s..2^d has been received from the 1^st day of April to the 1^st day of October 1867 part of which has been applied towards the payment of Wages, disbursement, etc, there remains in the hands of the Treasurer after paying the last Dividend the sum of 1144^£..18^s..2^d.
Ordered that a Dividend of £5..10 on each Share be declared payable on the 1^st day of November next free of Income Tax.
Resolved that the following Gentlemen who have become disqualified as Committee men by non-attendance, be reappointed: Mess^rs F Thornton, C Hooper, C Hawker, H H Wilton, C H Fisher.
NB It was discussed and considered likely to be of much service to the interests of the Canal, generall by insuring a large attendance of Shareholders, that at the next general half yearly meeting, a _dinner_ should take place as formerly.
