Summary

Chairman to convey to the family the Committee’s expression of their esteem and condolence on the death of Mr Marling.
Chairman requested to write to Mr Potter re the tonnage charges and the T&S Canal
Demand note for £1.1s.3½d for poor rate for Bristol Road property be paid as usual under protest.
Resolved that the minute passed on the 15 August 1878 re the repair of the roadways over the Canal Bridges by the Wheatenhurst Highway Board be rescinded and for the future the Company to keep the same in repair.
Clerk’s letter to Mr Barnard concerning the Resolution passed on the 18 September re the right of roadway to his house and the 6d. p.a. rent for the gates was read out.

Committee Meeting held at Wallbridge on Thursday the 10^th November 1879 @ 3,o,clock pm
Present: Mr G H A Beard Chairman, Mr J T Stanton, Mr E C Little, Mr J T Fisher, Mr T M Croome, Mr S Phipps.
[53] Before commencing the business of this Meeting the Committee desire to express their sorrow at the loss they and this Company have sustained in the death of their values colleague Mr Marling, and they request their Chairman to convey to his Family this expression of their esteem and of their condolence.
[52] The Chairman was requested to write to Mr Potter respecting the tonnage charges & the T&S Canal.

[41] A demand note amounting to £1..1..3½ for poor rate for Bristol Road property was placed before the Committee, and the same was ordered to be paid as usual under protest.
[4] Resolved that the Minute passed on the 15^th day of August 1878 respecting the repair of the Road Ways over the Canal Bridges by the Wheatenhurst Highway Board be rescinded & that for the future the Company keep the same in repair.
[51] Mr Barnard and right of road, Dudbridge Wharf.
The following letter was ordered to be written to Mr Barnard.

I brought the above matter before my Committee today & am instructed to say that they will stand upon the Resolution passed on the 18^th Sept last respecting the right of Roadway to your house and the 6^d per annum rent for the gates.
