Mr Potter’s letter in reply to Mr Beard’s original letter of 20 November 1879 was read out and Mr Beard was requested to reply.
Mr Beard produced Mr S S Marling’s letter respecting the Resolution of 20 November re his brother’s death.
Mr Z Whiting’s rent to be increased from £10 to £15 from the 25 December 1879 in consideration of the erection of the weighing machine and office.
£5 each be given to Snape and Fallows for extra work in superintending the dredging of the Canal by steam power from Wallbridge to Framilode.

[52] A reply to Mr Beards letter written to Mr Potter on the 20^th November 1879 was produced and read to the Committee and after the same had been considered, Mr Beard was requested to reply. See copy of letter in letter Book "B" page 455.
[53] Mr Beard produced a letter from Mr S S Marling relative to the Resolution passed on the 20^th November respecting the death of his brother Mr T Marling.
[51] Resolved that in consideration of a Weighing Machine and office erected for Mr Z Whiting on the Canal Wharf at Eastington that his rent be increased from £10 to £15 commencing from the 25^th December 1879.
[14] Resolved that £5 each be given to Snape & Fallows for extra work in superintending the dredging of the Canal by Steam power from Wallbridge to Framilode.
