Summary

Clerk to write to Messrs Ford Brothers giving notice that the drain put under the towing path and into the canal near the Double Locks without the knowledge or permission of the Company will be removed from the Company’s property immediately after next week.
Chairman authorised to give a cheque for the amount of Mr Kearsey’s bill of costs when examined by Mr Little.
Clerk to write to Messrs E Stephens & Co referring to the agreement in respect of the inside work of the House at Dudbridge Wharf, and requesting that the same be painted, papered, etc.
The stable floor at Dudbridge Wharf to be relaid.
Estimate to be requested for rebuilding the chimney and re-slating the roof of Wallbridge Canal House.

Committee Meeting held at Wallbridge on Thursday the 15^th day of July 1880 @ 3,o,clock pm
Present: Mr G H A Beard Chairman, Mr J T Stanton, Mr J Howard, Mr S Phipps, Mr E C Little, Mr J T Fisher, Mr C H Hooper, Major Fisher, Mr T M Croome.
[54] Mr Croome having reported that Messrs Ford Brothers had put a drain under the Towing path and into the Canal near the Double Locks, the Clerk was directed to write the following letter to Mr George Ford:

Wallbridge, July 16^th 1880.
D^r Sir,
My Committee having just learnt that some few years since you put a drain under the Towing path and into the Canal near the Double Locks. This appears to have been done without any permission, and indeed without even the knowledge of my Committee and they cannot allow the same to remain as its affects their property prejudicially in a double manner at the same time they desire to avoid inconveniencing you by removing the drain without notice and therefore I am instructed to inform you that immediately after next week the drain will be removed from the Company's property.

Resolved, that the Chairman be authorized to give a Cheque for the amount of this bill, when examined by Mr Little.
[29] The Clerk was directed to write to Messrs E Stephens & Co calling their attention to that portion of the agreement applying to them respecting the inside work of the House at Dudbridge wharf, and request that the same be painted, papered, etc.
[29] Ordered that the Stable floor at Dudbridge wharf be relaid.
