Ordered that Mr Fallow’s wages be paid quarterly instead of fortnightly, but not to alter the terms of the Resolution under which he was engaged (see Committee Meeting 31 July 1872).
Committee inspection of the Canal from Wallbridge to Framilode found the buildings, canal and other works to be in good repair.
William Davis, captain of the boat Sarah, fined 10s as a result of running into the bottom gates at Bristol Road Lock.
Mr Ford of Messrs Ford Bros was informed that the Committee would consider his request for a reduction of tonnage on grain and flour to and from Ryeford Mills and would communicate with him.
Committee Meeting held at Wallbridge on Tuesday the 20^th day of September 1881 @ 3,o,clock pm

[45] Ordered that the next Committee Meeting be held on Tuesday the 25^th day of October next @ 3,o,clock pm and the General Half-yearly Meeting on the same day at 4.o.clock pm.
[47] The Foreman H Fallows applied to have his wages paid quarterly instead of as now fortnightly.
Ordered that the same be paid quarterly Commencing from the 19^th September but this arrangement not in any way to alter the terms of the Resolution made which he was engaged. See Committee Meeting July 31^st 1872.
_Canal Inspection_
[46] Mr G H A Beard the Chairman and Messrs Gyde, Mills & Major Fisher inspected the Canal on the 25^th day of August 1881 from Wallbridge to Framilode, and found the Buildings, Canal and other works in good repair.
[18] The Foreman reported William Davis Captain of the Boat "Sarah" ran into the Bottom gates of Bristol Road Lock. Ordered that he pay a fine of 10/-.
[38] Mr Ford (of Messrs Ford Bros) attended and applied for a reduction of tonnage on grain & flour to and from Ryeford Mills. After hearing his statement, he was informed that the Committee would Consider the matter and communicate with him.
