Summary

Anna Maria Uthwall claimed share nos.50,133 will of Edolphe Andrews Uthwall.
Messrs Gainer & Co, given permission to put in a 4 inch pipe instead of a 3 invh pipe from the canal at Stonehouse to supply water to the engine boilers, on payment of £1 extra to the charge now made of £2, making a charge of £3 p.a.
The fine of £1 to be paid by R Pearce (see Minute Book 20th Dec 1881) be reduced to 10s.
Company’s Seal affixed to the petition presented against the Thames & Severn Canal Co’s Railway Bill. Mr Little reported that the President of the Board of Trade had expressed himself generally in favour of the views of the deputation as to the importance of the waterways of the County being maintained.

Committee Meeting held at Wallbridge on Tuesday the 21^st day of February 1882 @ 3,o,clock, pm
Present: Mr G H A Beard Chairman, Mr H H Mills, Mr J T Stanton, Mr J Howard, Mr E C Little.
[37] Charles Hastings Turner, Gentleman, of Cainscross attended on behalf of and under a written authority of Anna Marial Uthwatt of Far Hill. Painswick in the County of Gloucester Widow, sole executrix of the Will of Edolphe Andrewes Uthwatt late of Far Hill in the Parish of Painswick in the County of Gloucester, Surgeon, deceased who died on the 18^th day of January 1882 at Far Hill aforesaid and made out her claim to two shares numbered respectively 50 and 133 in the Undertaking of the Stroudwater Navigation now standing in the name of the said Edolphe Andrewes Uthwatt deceased in the Books of the Company of Proprietors of the said Navigation by producing the title to the said shares and the probate of the will of the said Edolphe Andrewes Uthwatt deceased, the will bearing date the 9^th day of December 1873 and was proved in the District Registry attached to the Probate Division of Her Majesty's High Court of Justice at Gloucester on the 18^th day of February 1882. And the claim was admitted accordingly and new tickets ordered to be made out on the tickets of titles of the said Edolphe Andrewes Uthwatt deceased being delivered up.
[51] Messrs Gainer & Co having asked permission to put in a 4" instead of a 3" pipe from the Canal at Stonehouse to supply water to the Engine boilers,
[not carried out] Resolved that permission be granted on payment of £1 extra to the charge now made of £2 making a charge of £3 per annum.
[18] Resolved that the fine of £1 to be paid by R Pearce (see Minute Book 20^th Dec 1881) be reduced to 10/-.
It was reported that the Cos Seal had been affixed to the petition presented against the Thames & Severn Canal Cos Railway Bill.
[56] It was reported by Mr Little that in compliance with the resolution passed at the last meeting, he attended on the 15^th inst the deputation from the Canal Association to the President of the Board of Trade who in reply expressed himself generally in favour of the views of the deputation as to the importance of the waterways of the Country being maintained.

It was reported by the sub-committee appointed at a Special Committee Meeting held on the 9^th inst that in pursuance of the instructions given to them a Petition had been presented against this Bill, and that the Cos Seal was affixed to the same.
