Committee Meeting held at Wallbridge on Tuesday the 24^th day of April 1894 @ 3,o,clock pm
Present: Mr E C Little Chairman, Mr H H Mills Solicitor, Mr W^m Davies, Mr C H Hooper, Mr E P Little & Sir W H Marling.
The various Accounts, books and vouchers Signed by Mr Dudbridge the Auditor, and certified to be correct were produced and passed.
The Treasurers Book was produced examined and Signed by the Chairman.
The Clerk handed the Committee he had received from Mr Pelham of the Board of Trade with draft amended Schedule of Tolls proposed to be allowed upon the Canal from which it appeared he had increased the proposed allowance to 1¼^d per ton per Mile instead of 1^d per ton per Mile, which the Committee thought Satisfactory.
A letter from Mr Waddy calling a Meeting of the Allied Navigations at Gloucester on the 3^rd May was read and instructions were given to the Clerk (Mr Snape) to attend it.
A letter was read from Mr Walter Chandler of Rodborough in which he alluded to an accident to his horse in passing over the Canal Bridge near the Gas Works owing as he alleged to the bad construction of the Bridge and asking for some recompense for the expense and loss he would incur. The Clerk was directed to inspect the Bridge and ascertain in what respect if any it was badly constructed. The Chairman said he would bring the matter under the notice of the Directors of the Stroud Gas Company, as they are chargeable with a moiety of the expense of the repairs of the Bridge.
