Committee Meeting held at Wallbridge on Tuesday the 15^th day of January 1895 @ 3,o,clock pm
Present: Mr E C Little Chairman, Mr H Hamilton Mills Solicitor, Mr C H Hooper, Mr E P Little, Mr A B Hooper, Mr S A Marling, Mr W^m Davies, Sir W H Marling Bart.
The attention of the Committee was directed to the opening of a drain at the Swing Bridge at Ryeford which had been closed during the Stoppage of the Canal in July last, but which had been reclosed by Mr Snape pursuant to orders previously given to him
Mr Snape reported the death of the Eastington Lock-keeper (Oliver Sitlington) on the 20^th December last whereupon the Committee approved of his suggestion that the Widow should be allowed to continue in the Lock-keepers house until some further arrangement had been made consequent upon Stilingtons death.
The Company's Seal was affixed to the agreement for letting the Canal House Eastington to Mr W C Wyke.
Mrs Harris the tenant of the House at Bristol Road wharf having married William Tudor, the latter was accepted as tenant.
The necessary Shareholders Meeting pursuant to the Parliamentary Standing orders upon the application to Parliament for the proposed Thames & Severn Canal (Allied Navigations) Bill 1895 was ordered to be held on Thursday the 7^th February next at the Canal Office Wallbridge Stroud at 3,o,clock pm & the necessary notices were directed to be sent to each Shareholder.
