Committee Meeting held at Wallbridge on Tuesday the 18^th August 1896
Present: Sir W H Marling Bart Chairman, Mr H H Mills Solicitor, Mr W J Stanton, Mr E P Little Director, Mr W Davies.
The Minutes of the previous Meeting were read and signed.
The Clerk reported that notes prohibiting bathing at Lodgemore has been posted and the Police communicated with, & the nuisance had in consequence been abated.
The Clerk produced plans of the water tanks Messrs Apperly Curtis & C^o Ltd propose to erect, and stated that Messrs Apperly Curtis & C^o Ltd were willing to pay £15 per annum for the right to take from the Canal daily 15,000 gall^s of water.
Resolved that Mr Mills prepare an agreement between the Stroudwater C^o and Apperly Curtis & C^o Ltd on the above basis, similar in other respected to the existing "Agreement" between the Stroudwater C^o and Messrs Hooper & C^o, but providing that Messrs Apperly Curtis & C^o Ltd should attach suitable Automatic Ball Valves to the supply pips of their tanks, so as to prevent them from overflowing and wasting the Canal water.
