At a General Half-Yearly Meeting of the Proprietors of the Stroudwater Navigation held at their Office at Wallbridge on Tuesday the 25^th day of October 1898 @ 3.30pm

The Minutes of the Committee since the last General Meeting were approved and confirmed.
It appears that the sum of £783..12..8 has been received from the 1^st day of April 1898 to the 1^st day of October 1898 and a balance brought forward from last Half-Year (after payment of Dividend) of £126..0..8 making a total of £909..13..4 of which sum £358..6..3 has been applied towards payment of wages and other disbursements, and there remains in the Treasurers hands the sum of £551..7..1.
Ordered that a Dividend of £1..10..0 on each share be declared payable on the 1^st day of November next free of Income Tax, carrying forward a balance of £257..7..1 to the next half years A/c.
The sum of £497..16..3 in the hands of the Chancery Lane Safe Deposit & Offices Company Limited stands to the Credit of the Reserve Fund.
