National Telephone Co agreed to pay £3 10s p.a. for small warehouse, Wallbridge Wharf, but not to pay cost of agreement. Company willing to let warehouse on yearly tenancy at £3 10s. Company’s right to lock wharf doors to prevent access at night, in accordance with existing practice.
Interview with Mr Apperley, Apperley Curtis & Co. No water would be taken by altered arrangement of tanks. One to be raised 4ft instead of 3ft. Dudbridge tramway still under consideration. Trespass rent of 2s 6d or 5s.
Clerk explained terms of letter to Stroud Rural District Council, in reference to new sewerage mains under canal at Dudbridge and Ebley.

Public notice issued by County Council explaining terms proposed for taking on Thames & Severn Canal from Trust.

Ordered that the Half Yearly Meeting be held on Tuesday the 24^th April next at 3.30pm.
The National Telephone Company agree to pay £3..10..0 per Annum from 25^th December 1899 for the small Warehouse, Wallbridge Wharf but decline to pay cost of agreement for same the Clark was therefore instructed to write the following letter to them:-

Dear Sir,
This Company is willing to let to the National Telephone Company the small Warehouse now in the latter Company's occupation at Wallbridge Wharf, Stroud at the annual rent of £3..10..0 on a yearly tenancy from the 25^th December last.
It is understood that the tenancy is subject to my Company's right to lock the Wharf doors so as to prevent access to the Wharf & Warehouse at night in accordance with existing practice.
Kindly let me hear from you confirming these conditions.

[Apperly Curtis & C^o 4 tanks, Clerks interview] The Clerk reported an interview with Mr Apperly (A C & C^o Ltd) who explained that no more water would be taken by the altered management of tanks which his Firm contemplated. He asked that, if necessary, the one might be raised 4ft instad of 3ft and this was sanctioned. The matter of the Dudbridge tramway was still under consideration. He agreed, in case it was carried through, to a trespass rent of 2/6 of 5/- as the Committee might decide.
[Stroud Rural District Council, Sewage Main under Canal] The Clerk reported the terms of his letter to the Stroud Rural District Council, in reference to the laying of the new Sewage Mains under the Canal at Dudbridge and Ebley.
[Withdrawal of opposition to the Wilts & Berks for sanction to close their Canal] The Chairman read a letter written by the Clerk to the Board of Trade withdrawing the opposition of this Company to the application by the Wilts & Berks Canal Company for sanction of their abandonment of their Undertaking.
[Enquiry by the Board of Trade to Wilts & Berks Canal] The Chairman referred to the "Public Enquiry" by the Board of Trade on this, holden at London Feby 27 which had resulted in an indefinite postponement.
[Public Notice issued by the County Council of Inquiry into Thames & Severn Canal (?)] The Chairman read the Public Notice raised by the County Council, giving the terms upon which the proposed, with the sanction of the Board of Trade, to take over the Thames & Severn Canal from the Thames and Severn Canal Trust.
