At a General Half-Yearly Meeting of the Proprietors of the Stroudwater Navigation held at their Office at Wallbridge on Tuesday the 23^rd day of April 1901
Mr H Hamilton Mills Chairman.
It appears that the sum of £762..4..0 has been received from the 1^st day of October 1900 to the 1^st day of April 1901 and a balance brought forward of £201..11..7 from the last Half Year (after payment of Dividend) making a total of £963..15..7, of which sum £568..17..4 has been applied towards payment of wages disbursements, etc, (including a sum of £150 paid towards the deficit of the Revenue of the Thames and Severn Canal Trust Act 1895) and their remains in the hands of the Treasurer the sum of £394..18..3 available for Dividend.
Ordered that a Dividend of £1..5..0 per share be declared payable on the 1^st day of May next free of Income Tax carrying forward a balance of £144..18..3 to the next Half-Years A/c.
The sum of £517..13..2 in the hands of the Chancery Lane Safe Deposit & Offices C^o Ltd stands to the credit of the Reserve Fund.
Resolved that the following Gentlemen form the Committee for the year next following or until another Committee be appointed:
Mr C H Hooper Chairman, Mr H Hamilton Mills Solicitor, Mr W J Stanton, Mr A J M Ball, Mr A B Hooper, Mr W Davies, Mr F A Little, Mr E Palling Little, Sir W H Marling Bart, Mr S S Marling, Mr P J Evans.
A letter was read from Mr E Caruthers Little stating that owing to his advancing years and his being unable to attend the Committee Meetings he did not wish to be again re-elected a Member of the Committee.
This intimation was received with great regret and it was unanimously resolved that Mr Little be heartily thanked for his long and valuable services to the Company he having ben a member of the Committee for 28 years during 18 of which he had acted as Chairman.
A copy of the above resolution was ordered to be sent to Mr Little.
