[1903 June 16] Committee Meeting held at Wallbridge on Tuesday the 16^th day of June 1903 @ 3 o'clock pm

Mr Whittingham, Solicitor in attendance.
[Survey] The date (June 9^th) proposed for the Survey having been unfavourable, a later day, at the convenience of Messrs Mill & Little, was agreed on.
[Glos Har Board (of May 21)] A letter from the Clerk of the Gloucester Harbour Board acknowledging contribution (£6) and its conditions, was placed before the Committee.
[Strachan & C^o Easement] The Clerk was directed to get the letter he should receive from Messrs Strachan & C^o Ltd, agreeing to the 'Easement' (gateway) at Lodgemore, duly _stamped_.
[Sharpness C^o (Whitminster)] A letter to the Clerk, from Mr Jones of the Sharpness Company, as to cutting the weeds, and mudding in the 'Whitminster Reach', was read by the Chairman, as also Mr Snape's requesting his attention to this.
[Double Locks] The Clerk reported a failure of the masonry at the 'Double Locks;, the full extent of which he had not yet ascertained, which was receiving due attention.
[Telephone (Lambourn)] The Clerk mentioned the recent erection of a Telephone wire over the Wallbridge Wharf to the Warehouse rented by Mr Lambourn. It was decided that it being for the convenience of a Tenant of the Company, no question should be raised, at least for the present, of the usual charge against the Telephone Co when crossing the Company's property.
[T&S Auditor] The Auditor of the County Council, having verbally raised a question, bearing on the liability of this Company under the Thames and Severn Trust Act 1895, it was resolved that the Clerk request from him a statement in writing, as to the precise information required by him.
[Railways (Elec Power Bill)] A communication from the 'Canal Association' in reference to the 'Railway Electrical Power Bill, now before Parliament, was read by the Chairman. It was not considered that this Company's interests were affected by the same.
The Clerk reported:_
[1 Railway Metals] 1 That he had obtained 3 railway metals from the Great Western Railway cost £2..14..0.
[2 Jack - Boring Machine] 2 That he had received the new 'lifting Jack' and the 'Boring Machine'. The latter was exhibited to the Committee.
[3 Walk Bridge] 3 That the repairs of the Walk Bridge were proceeding and would shortly be completed.
[Claim Shares 2 & 125 late Sir H C E Daubeney GCB] Ferdinand Samford Whittingham of Stroud in the County of Gloucester, Solicitor attended under a written authority of Lady Eliza Daubeney of Osterley Lodge, Spring Grove Isleworth in the County of Middlesex Henry Attlee of 10 Billiter Square, London Solicitor and Hugh Frederick Daubeney Esquire Thatchley House, Prestbury, near Cheltenham in the County of Gloucester, Commander Royal Navy executors of the Will of Henry Charles Bainston Daubeney late of Osterley Lodge Spring Grove Isleworth in the County of Middlesex G C B (who died on the 17^th day of January 1903 at Osterley Lodge aforesaid) and who at the time of his death held two shares in the Company N^o 2 & 125 respectively and now standing in the name of the said Sir Henry Charles Bainston Daubeney G C B deceased in the Books of the Company and made out his claim by producing the tickets and titles to the said two shares and the probate of the Will of the said Sir Henry Charles Bainston Daubeney G C B bearing date he 25^th day of November 1899 with codicils bearing date 1^st 15^th June 1900 2^nd 15^th June 1900 3^rd 10^th Feby 1901 4^th 6^th Feby 1902 and proved in the said executors in the Principal Probate Registry of His Majestys High Court of Justice on the 6^th day of February 1900 and the claim was admitted accordingly and new tickets or titles ordered to be made out on the tickets or titles of the said shares being delivered up.
[Claim Share N^o 133 late Jane Hallewell] Edward Palling Little of Stroud in the County of Gloucester Solicitor attended under the written authority of Mary Jane Hallewell of N^o 34 Alma Road Clifton in the City and County of Bristol, Spinster, executrix of the Will of Jane Hallewell late of 34 Alma Road Clifton aforesaid Widow (who died on the 21^st day of January 1903 at No 34 Alma Road Clifton aforesaid) and who at the time of her death held one share in the Company N^o 122 and now standing in the name of the said Jane Hallewell deceased in the Books of the Company and made out her claim by producing a letter of indemnity from the said executrix for the loss of the ticket or title to the said one share and the Probate of the Will of the said Jane Hallewell bearing date the 3^rd day of June 1878 with Codicils bearing date 1: 20^th day of February 1879 2: 15^th day of July 1887 3: 22^nd day of February 1899 and proved by the said executrix in the Probate Registry of His Majestys High Court of Justice at Bristol on the 20^th day of April 1903 and the claim was admitted accordingly and a new ticket or title ordered to be made out.
