Summary

Death of previous Chairman, Edward Caruthers Little, J P for many years of Stroud, aged 84. ‘A courteous colleague and neighbour of sterling worth.’
Agreements with Mr S Hopson and Mr A F Ashmead for tenancies of Wallbridge Warehouse and Wharf House, Dudbridge by Mr George Tyler, rent of £10 11s. Last month’s rent 17s 7d due from late tenant, Mr W J Acton, irrecoverable and written off.
Letter from District Manager of National Telephone Co, Mr Fulton, re suggested instrument at office at the Junction, in connexion with their extension to Saul. Office property of Sharpness Docks Co. Sir W H Marling promised matter should be mentioned at next week’s Board Meeting. Signing of wayleave deferred.
Payment of £3, contribution to Gloucester Harbour Board.
Circular from Board of Trade as to the Census of Production Act 1906. Deferred till promised forms for returns received.
Each use of Company’s seal to be consecutively numbered and registered.
Sir W H Marling referred to half yearly accounts as not showing fully position of Company by omission of value of stores, etc, and unpaid bills. Clerk submitted list of stores 31 March 1907. Total value £58 12s.

[Ao 24 1907] Committee Meeting held at Wallbridge on Wednesday the 24^th day of April 1907
Present: Mr C H Hooper Chairman, Sir W H Marling Bart, Mr F A Little, Mr W Davies, Mr P J Evans, Mr A J M Ball
Mr Whittingham in attendance.
[E C Little Esq JP] Before commencing the business the Chairman referred to the recent death of his predecessor in the Chair, and suggested that the Committee would wish to have an appreciative record of him on the minutes. He moved the following, which was unanimously and cordially adopted.
"The Committee had learned with much regret, the death, on the 6^th inst, a Cheltenham, of their former Chairman, Mr Edward Caruthers Little, JP for many years of Stroud, at the advanced age of 84, and unanimously desired to place on record their regard for him as a courteous colleague and neighbour of sterling worth."
[Wallbridge Warehouse Agreements sealed] The Clerk produced the Agreements for Tenancy of the Wallbridge Warehouse, with Mr S Hopson and Mr A F Ashmead which were duly sealed, and signed by the Chairman and Clerk.
[Wharf House Dudbridge] Also the Agreement for Tenancy of Wharf House, Dudbridge by Mr George Tyler, which had been already signed, Rent £10..11..0 (including 11/- for water Rate).
[Mr Actons arrears of rent written off] The separate offices Mr Tyler had not yet seen his way to take. The last month's Rent £-17^s/7^d due from the late Tenant Mr W J Acton, was considered irrecoverable, and was written off.
[Nat Tel C^o Poles, etc] The Clerk presented a letter from the District Manager of the National Telephone Company (Mr Fulton) in reference to a suggested instrument at the Office at the Junction, on certain terms, in connexion with their extension to Saul. It was recognised that that office was the property of the Sharpness Docks Coy and Sir W H Marling promised that the matter should be mentioned at the Meeting of that Board next week. The signing of the 'Wayleave' was therefore deferred, and the matter left in the hands of the Chairman and the Clerk.
[Gloucester Harbour Board £3..-] The payment of £3..- contribution to the Gloucester Harbour Board, to March 25 ult, was ordered to be made {vide correspondence April 30 1906, letter Book H.264).
[Board of Trade Circular Census of Production Act 1906] The Clerk presented a circular letter from the Board of Trad as to the 'Census of Production Act 1906. It was deferred till the promised 'forms for returns' should be received.
[Company's Seal] It was suggested that each use of the Company's seal should be consecutively numbered and registered and such was ordered to commence with the financial year now current.
[Manner of stating the Half Yearly A/c] Sir W H Marling referred to the manner of stating the Half Yearly Accounts, as not showing fully the position of the Company by its omission of value of stores, etc, on the one side, and unpaid Bills on the other. He suggested its consideration by the Committee, perhaps in consultation with the Company's Audtior.
[Stores £58..12..0 Mar 31.07] The Clerk submitted a list of stores, as on March 31^st 1907 signed by him - the total value amounting to £58..12..0.
