Mr H Hamilton Mills’ appointment on Committee not to be renewed. Lateness of getting home in winter. 3.15 instead of 4.15 agreed.
£3 payment to Gloucester Harbour Board.
[1908 April] Committee Meeting held on Wednesday the 22^nd day of April 1908 @ 4.15pm
Present: Mr C H Hooper Chairman, Mr F A Little, Mr E P Little, Mr A J M Ball, Sir W H Marling Bart, Mr W Davies, Mr W J Stanton
Mr Whittingham, Solicitor, in attendance.
[A/c] The various Books & Vouchers signed by the Auditor and certified to be correct were produced and passed.
[A/c] The Treasurers Book was examined and signed by the Chairman.
[Wallbridge Warehouse Mr Hopson] The Clerk presented Mr S Hopson's letter agreeing to take the lower floor of the Wallbridge Warehouse (£6..- p annum) duly stamped.
[Mr H Hamilton Mills] A letter to the Chairman from Mr H Hamilton Mills was read, desiring that his appointment on the Committee should not be renewed as he found the hour (4.15) mad it very late in Winter to get home. It was suggested that 3.15 would be generally more acceptable, and this alteration in the time of meeting (on Wednesdays) was agreed to. The Chairman undertook to inform Mr Mills of this and express the hope of the members that it would enable him without discomfort to continue his services.
[Gloucester Harbour Board £3..-] A letter from the Clerk of the Gloucester Harbour Board, asking for payment of the £3..- contribution due March 25 was presented and the amount was ordered to be paid.
