Board of Trade Production Act form completed and submitted.
Application from Mr Willsher to rent part of Dudbridge Wharf for use as garage workshops rejected.
John Neptune Blood claimed share no.12, will of Charlotte Constance Blood.
Committee Meeting held at Wallbridge on Thursday the 21^st day of May 1936 @ 4 o'clock pm
Present: W R Bloxam, Henry R Hooper, Marcus Stewart, R J C Little.
Only four Members of the Committee being present there was no quorum but there being some matters requiring immediate attention it was decided to proceed with them subject to confirmation by the next Committee.
Stonehouse Wharf Fencing
The Railway Company had written to say that they would arrange for their Agent to meet the Clerk on the spot before the fence is erected.
Board of Trade Production Act
The Clerk reported that the form had been made up and sent to the Council.
Gas Works Bridge, Stroud Urban District Council
The Clerk reported that no reply had been received from the Council.
Messrs Marling & Evans Ltd; re Towing path next to the Ebley Mills
The Clerk reported that since the Company's last letter to Messrs Marling & Evans, to which they had not replied, Messrs Marling and Evans had themselves repaired the damaged towing path. A further letter had been written to them dated the 8^th May last calling their attention to the fact that they were doing work upon the Company's premises without having previously consulted the Company and without letting the Company have a reply to its letter of the 16^th April last, and giving them notice that the work must cease immediately. A letter from Messrs Marling & Evans of the 20^th May was read,.
After discussion the Committee decided to offer them an easement at £5 a quarter. The letter to to be settled by the Chairman.
Canal Association, Canal Bridges
A letter from the Association was read by the Chairman and discussed.
Dudbridge Wharf, M^r Willsher.
An application by M^r Willshire to rent a portion of the Wharf for the purpose of erecting garage workshops was discussed when the Committee decided that it was not prepared to let the Wharf for the purpose.
Claim of Share N^o 12
William Richard Bloxam of Stroud in the County of Gloucester Solicitor attended under a written authority from John Neptune Blood of 1, Millers Green Gloucester a major in his Majesty's Army (Retired) the sole Administrator of the Estate of Charlotte Constance Blood of 1 Millers Green in the City of Gloucester aforesaid and made out his claim to the one share numbered 12 of the Undertaking of the Stroudwater Navigation and now standing in the name of the said Charlotte Constance Blood aforesaid in the Books of the said Company by producing the ticket or title to the said one share and the letters of Administration of the Estate of the said Charlotte Constance Blood granted to the said Administrator by the Gloucester District Registry on the 8^th day of February 1936 and the claim was admitted accordingly and a new ticket or title ordered to be made out on the ticket or title of the said share being delivered up.
