Special Meeting. Anne James claimed shares nos.86,76,56, 48,49, will of Nathaniel Jones.
At a Special Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee Room at Walbridge on Tuesday the 25^th day of September 1832
Present: M^r Sam^l Fisher, M^r Wathen, M^r Grazebrook, M^r Cosham, M^r Stanton, M^r Holbrow, M^r Wyatt, M^r Croome.
Anne James of Evenlode in the County of Worcester Widow attended and made out her Claim to five Shares numbered 86, 76, 58, 48 and 49 in the Stroudwater Navigtion late the Property of Nathaniel Jones of Stratford in the Parish of Stroud in the County of Gloucester Gentleman deceased by producing the Probate of the Will of the said Nathaniel Jones dated the Twenty Third Day of April One Thousand Eight Hundred and Thirty and proved by the Prerogative Court of Canterbury on the Seventh day of May One Thousand Eight Hundred and Thirty One by which Will it appears that the said Anne James is the Sole Executrix therein named and that the Probate of the said Will has been granted to her And the Claim of the said Anne James is admitted accordingly.
Ordered that Mess^rs Fisher be requested to state a Case for the Opinion of Counsel on the Company's Liability to repair the Bridge over the Brook at the Ryeford.
