[1937 Dec] Committee Meeting held at Wallbridge on Wednesday the 15^th day of December 1937 @ 4 o'clock pm
Present: W R Bloxam, Henry R Hooper, R J C Little.
There being only three Members of the Committee present there was no quorum but there being some matters requiring immediate attention it was decided to proceed with them subject to confirmation by the next Committee.
Towing path next Ebley Mills: Messrs Marling & Evans
In accordance with Minute of last Meeting the Chairman had settled a letter which had been sent to Messrs Marling & Evans, they had replied stating that they should not require to use the towing path in future for the conveyance of coal to their boilers at the Mills.
Double Lock Cottages, Water supply
The Clerk reported that a pump had been fixed.
Wallbridge Wharf, Messrs Strachan & Coy
The Deed of Conveyance of a portion of the Wallbridge Wharf to Messrs Strachan & Coy was sealed and signed by the Chairman & the Clerk.
Dudbridge Wharf, M^r Redler
A letter from M^r Redler was read after discussion the Clerk was directed to see M^r Redler and offer him a part of the Wharf and ask him to state his price.
Wallbridge Wharf House, Advertising Site
In accordance with Minute of last Meeting a letter had been sent to the National Sales Ltd. No reply had been received.
Board of Conservators - Severn Fishery District
In accordance with Minute of last Meeting the Chairman had settled a letter which the Clerk had sent to the Board. No reply had been received.
Canal at Newtown, Repair Lock gates, Blunder Lock
The Clerk reported that the work was in hand.
Dudbridge Warehouse, M^r Wiggall
The Clerk reported that he had seen M^r Wiggall and informed him what had been decided by the Committee.
Swing Bridges, Timber
The Clerk reported that he had obtained the timber as directed. The Committee expressed their thanks to M^r Hooper for the held he had given in the matter.
Share, Mr Evans
The Clerk was directed to communicate with M^r Evans informing him of the price at which the shares had recently changed hands.
Canal Tolls
The Ministry of Transport having notified the Company that the increased powers of charges conferred on the Stroudwater Navigation Coy, in respect of the use of the Canal by the Direction of the Ministry of Transport dated 4^th September 1920 would expire on the 31^st Dec 1937 it was decided that Messrs Butler & Coy be informed.
Ordered that the next Meeting of the Committee be held at Wallbridge on Wednesday the 26^th day of January 1938 @ 4 o'clock pm and the General Half Yearly Meeting @ 4.30pm on same day.
