Half Yearly General Meeting. Tonnage £2794 13s 6d. Balance after wages, etc, £2074 3s 1d. Dividend of £10 declared.
Application to be made Gloucester & Berkeley Canal Company to comply with conditions annexed to permission for taking water through and that in default of their compliance the Committee do suspend the supply of water.
Application to be made Gloucester & Berkeley Canal Company to propose some plan for taking supply to avoid necessity for keeping open Whitminster Lock gates and for preventing inflow of mud, soil and silt.
Tonnage on rock salt reduced to 2s per ton for whole of canal and proportionately for less distance.
Messrs Fisher to take Counsels opinion on the Ryeford Bridge.
At a General Half Yearly Meeting of the Proprietors of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the George Inn Stroud on Wednesday the 24^th day of October 1832

The minutes of the last General half yearly Meeting were read & confirmed.
The several Books and accounts were produced respecting the affairs of the Company (as directed by Act of Parliament) and were examined and confirmed.
It appears by the Accounts that the Sum of £2794..13..6 has been received for Tonnage, etc, from the 14^th day of April last to the 13^th day of Octover Instant; a part of which has been applied towards the payment of Wages, disbursments, etc, and there remains in the Treasurers Hands (after paying the last Dividend) the Sum of £2074..3..1.
Ordered that a Dividend of Ten Pounds be paid on each Share by the Treasurers on the first Day of November next, and that our Clerk do transmit circular Letters to all the Proprietors to inform them, that they may draw upon the Treasurers or apply to them for payment of the same.
Ordered that the reference of the 27^th day of October 1831 to the Committee to collect information as to the propriety of appointing a Clerk to be stationed at the Junction, and on other matters, - be renewed; and that the Committee do report to the next General Meeting thereon.
Ordered that application be made to the Gloucester and Berkeley Canal Company to comply with the Conditions annexed to the permission for taking water through this Navigation under the Order of 28^th October 1829 for that purpose; And that in default of their compliance to the satisfaction of the Committee, the Committee do suspend the supply of Water.
Ordered that application be made to the Gloucester and Berkeley Canal Company to propose some plan (in conformity with the order of 28^th October 1831 as conveyed in our Clerk's letter of 29^th Oct. 1831) for taking the Supply so as to obviate the necessity of keeping open the Whitminster Lock Gates; and also for preventing the influx of Mud, soil and silt with the supply of Water as far as may be.
Ordered that the Tonnage on Rock Salt be reduced to two shillings per Ton for the whole line of the Canal and so proportionably for any less distance.
Ordered that Mess^rs Fishers sol^rs do take the opinion of M^r Campbell on the Question as to the Ryeford Bridge in addition to the opinions already taken.
