[1938 Dec] Committee Meeting held at Wallbridge on Wednesday the 21^st day of December 1938 at 4 o'clock pm
Present: W R Bloxam, Henry R Hooper, R J C Little.
There being only three Members of the Committee present there was no quorum, but there being some matters requiring immediate attention it was decided to proceed with them subject to confirmation by the next Committee.
Rents unpaid, M^r Palmer
The Clerk reported that M^r Palmer had not made any payment since the last Meeting and was £3..6..8 in arrears with his rent, £5, for the quarter commencing 19/9//38. IT was decided to write a strong letter to him.
Wes Gloucestershire Power C^oy, Easements at Dudbridge
The Power Company had erected the, three, poles stays and wires on the Company's property at Dudbridge.
Canal at Whitminster, M^r Parker's field
The Clerk reported that the bank had been repuddled with clay puddle,. The Chairman read the Solicitors letter of the 17^th November 1928 to Messrs Langley Smith and Sons of Gloucester to which no reply had so far been received.
The Copeland Chatterson C^o Ltd: Sale of land at Dudbridge
It was reported that the purchase money, "£10, had been paid and Agreements exchanged.
Lloyd's Bank Ltd: Stroud ~ Canal A/c
The Clerk reported that the Manager of Lloyd's Bank Ltd, Stroud, had been supplied with a copy of the Accounts as requested.
Gloucestershire County Council: Discharging water in the canal at Stonehouse
The Clerk reported that the application had been withdrawn.
Stonepits Bridge Whitminster
M^r Peake, owner of land adjoining this accommodation bridge had asked for the bridge to be repaired. The Clerk was instructed to attend to this.
Shallow Lock Swing Bridge
The Clerk reported that the outside beam on the west side of this bridge needed renewal. The Clerk was authorized to carry out the necessary work.
Canal Bank near Bonds Mill: Repair
The Clerk was instructed to carry out any necessary repairs at the first available opportunity.
Ordered that the next Meeting of the Committee be held on Wednesday the 25^th January 1939 @ 4 o'clock pm and the General Half Yearly Meeting @ 4.30pm on same day.
