[1939 Dec] Committee Meeting held at Wallbridge on Wednesday the 20^th day of December 1939 @ 3 o'clock pm
Present: W R Bloxam, G A Evans, R J C Little, Henry R Hooper.
There being only four Members of the Committee present there was no quorum but there being some matters requiring immediate attention it was decided to proceed with them subject to confirmation by the next Committee.
Stroud Gas C^oy: Gashouse Bridge
In accordance with Minute of last Meeting a letter had been sent to the Gas Company, they had not replied.
Stroud Urban District Council: Gashouse Bridge
It was reported that the Council had not replied to the Navigations letter.
Canal property at Framilode: Meadow's Cottage and Lockhouse: Grates & Gate
The Clerk was authorised to accept M^r Wiggall's offer of a grate at the price of 3^s/- for Meadow's cottage, and for a kitchen grate at the price of 12^s/-. Meadows had repaired the garden gate.
Severn and Canal Carrying Company: Canal Trage
There was nothing further to report.
The Hoffman Manufacturing Company: Pipe to Canal at Stonehouse
There was nothing to report
Wharfhouse at Stonehouse, Grate
The Clerk was authorised to obtain from M^r Wiggall the grate which he had offered the Company for 5^s/-.
Gloucester Corporation, Water pipes crossing the Canal at Whitminster, Saul & Framilode
Letters and plans from the Corporation were discussed. IT was agreed to grant the easement on payment of £5 for each day or part of a day during which the waterway was stopped to traffic, and an annual payment of £3 rent for each crossing. The Chairman undertook to settle a letter to send to the Corporation.

Ordered that the next Meeting be held on the 24^th January 1940 @ 3 o'clock pm and the General Half Yearly Meeting at 3.30 o'clock pm on same day.
