Bristol Road Bridge was damaged by motor lorry belonging to Messrs Howards Transport Lorries, Alpha Garage, Gypsey Lane, Leicester. Messrs Howards informed they would be charged for any consequent damage.
£200 of holding in 3½% War Stock to be sold to cover overdraft of £87 16s 1d from bank.

There being only three Members of the Committee present there was no quorum but there being some matters requiring immediate attention it was decided to proceed with them subject to confirmation by the next Committee.

There was nothing to report.
Canal Association: Control of Inland Navigations During the War
Letters from the Association were read.
Bristol Road Bridge: Damaged by Motor Lorry
It was reported that one of Messrs Howards Transport lorries of Alpha Garage, Gypsy Lane Leicester had damaged the Canal Bridge,. Bristol Road, Whitminster, notice had been given them that if on inspection it was found that any damage had been caused to the property of the Navigation they would be held responsible for such damage.
Banking Account, Overdraft
Owing to an overdraft at the Bank of £87..16..1 the Committee decided to sell £200 of its holding of 3½% War Stock. The Chairman undertook to arrange for the sale.
Gateway at Dudbridge: Messrs Redler Patents, Easement
It was noted that the benefit of the easement had been transferred to The Copeland Chatterson C^oy.
