Summary

Half Yearly General Meeting. Tonnage £3565 8s 6d. Balance after wages, etc, £3029 19s 2d. Sum of £622 3s 1d in the coal account to be transferred to the Treasurer. Dividend of £17 declared.
Letter from Mr Purnell read: as a result the supply of water from Whitminster Mills to G&B Canal through Stroudwater Navigation is to be suspended.
Future negotiations for the restoration of supply of water must be made with person(s) supplying water and the Committee will require compensation for supply.
New bridge to be built over the River Frome near the Ryeford, which will require the widening of the present bridge over canal.

At a General Half Yearly Meeting of the Proprietors of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the George Inn Stroud on Thursday the 25^th day of April 1833
Thomas Croome Esq^r in the Chair.
The minutes of the last General Meeting were read & confirmed.
The several Books and Accounts were produced respecting the affairs of the Company (as directed by Act of Parliament) and were examined & confirmed.
It appears by the Accounts that the Sum of £3565..8..6 has been received for Tonnage, etc, from the 13^th day of October last to the 13^th day of April Instant; a part of which has been applied towards the payment of wages, disbursments, etc, and that there remains in the Treasurers Hands (after paying the last Dividend) the Sum of £3029..19..2.
Ordered that the Sum of £622..3..1 now standing the the Credit of this Company in the Coal Bankes's Account be transferred to the Treasurers of the Stroudwater Navigation.
Ordered that a Dividend of Seventeen pounds be paid on each Share by the Treasurers on the first day of May next; and that our Clerk do transmit circular letters to all the proprietors to inform them that they may draw on the Treasurers or apply to them for payment of the same.
The following Gentlement are appointed a Committee for the ensuing Year:

A letter from M^r Purnaell being read requesting that the supply of Water from the Whitminster Mill to the Gloucester and Berkeley Canal through the Stroudwater Navigation be suspended -
Ordered that the Supply of Water be suspended accordingly & that this be communicated to the Gloucester & Berkeley Canal Company.
Ordered that on any future application for the restoration of the Supply of Water through the Stroudwater Navigation, the Committee do require that the Application do proceed from, and that the Negotiation thereon be held with, the person or persons who are to furnish or supply the Water - and that in such Negotiation the Committee do require a compensation for granting such supply.
Ordered that the Committee be empowered to build a new Bridge over the River Frome near the Ryeford, and also to widen the present Bridge over the Canal there; and that they be empowered to enter into contracts for the same.
