[1942 June] Committee Meeting held at Wallbridge on Wednesday the 17^th day of June 1942 @ 3 o'clock pm

The Memoranda of proceedings held on the 17^th September, 18^th October, 16^th November, 17^th December 1941, 28^th January, 18^th February, 18^th March, 15^th April, 20^th May 1942 were confirmed.
Gashouse Bridge, Messrs Mowlem & Coy, Damage
In reply to the Companie's letter Messrs Mowlem had stated that they were immediately getting in touch with their M^r Cameron regarding this matter.
Hoffman Gloucester Ltd: Pipe at Stonehouse
Messrs Hoffman had informed the Company that they had commenced to take water form the Canal on the 17^th May. They had paid £75 being a half years rent in advance due from the as on that date and had paid the Solicitors costs of the Agreement. The Cheque had been passed to the Company's Account at Lloyd's Bank Ltd, Stroud.
Wallbridge Wharf, Trespass, M^r Hopson
In replay to the Companie's letter the County Surveyor had asked for M^r Hopson's price for the work, This had been sent to him and a sketch.
Canal at Eastington, Lockkeeper
The Chairman read a letter from Miss White and after discussion the Committee decided that provided vacant possession of the lockhouse is given before the 3^rd July no steps would be taken, With regard to the leanto the Committee were prepared to grant "1..- as an act of grace. The Chairman undertook to settle a letter.
Stroud District Water Board, Pie along towing path at Stonehouse
The Chairman reported progress.
Canal next Bond's Mill at Stonehouse
The Clerk reported leakage to the River Frome from the Canal through the let off Culvert next the Swing Bridge there. M^r Ball undertook to inspect the place and report to the Chairman.
Stonehouse Wharf
The Clerk reported that the Admiralty at Stanley Mills had telephoned to say that they were taking over a portion of the Wharf at Stonehouse. With reference to terms and conditions the Company would hear latter.
Canal at Ebley, Mr Maslin
The Chairman read a letter from Mr Maslin asking for permission to place a pleasure boat on the canal, an to take a supply of water at Ebley pound. The Committee granted him permission to use the Ebley pound for his pleasure boat on payment of the usual 10/- a year payable in advance. With reference to taking water the Committee desired more information.
Property at Framilode, Drinking water supply
With reference to this matter the Clerk was directed to ascertain if the tenants want water supplied from the water main.
Property at Wallbridge, Mr F W Lee tenant
Mr Hopson's estimate for the replacement of the side door was discussed. The Clerk was instructed to obtain a fresh estimate to be reported to the Chairman.
War Damage, Blunder Lock
It was decided that a letter be written to the Ministry pressing for payment.
Ordered that the next Committee Meeting be held on Wednesday the 22^nd July 1942 @ 3 o'clock pm and that the General Half Yearly Meeting be held on the same day at 3.30 o'clock pm,
