Quartering Commandant for South Gloucestershire wanted to requisition Lock House at Eastington. Committee decided premises must be occupied by a lockkeeper.
Weeds at Newtown to be treated with Adco after dredging from the canal.
Beryl Frances Fisher and Francis Colborne Fisher claimed share nos.84.91, will of Rev Frederic Colborne Fisher.

The Memoranda of the proceedings held on the 22^nd July, 16^th September and 21^st October 1942 were confirmed.
Canal at Eastington, Lockhouse, Repairs
Reported that the repairs were in hand.
Lockkeeper at Eastington
Reported that Lockkeeper Smith had given up the post. The Clerk was instructed to interview W C Miles of Bond's Mills who had applied for the position.
Lockhouse at Eastington
The Quartering Commandant, South Gloucestershire stationed at Wotton-under-Edge had called at the Office about requisitioning the lockhouse for Army purposes, and he had a telephone conversation with the Chairman. The Committee decided that the premises must be occupied by a lockkeeper. The matter was left to the Chairman.
Stroud Water Board, Pipe at Stonehouse
The Chairman stated that the Seal of the Company had been attached to the Agreement witnessed by himself and the Clerk.
Property at Framilode, Water Supply
Reported that M^r Hopson had not submitted an estimate. The Clerk was instructed to see Mr Hopson.
Wharfhouse at Wallbridge, Boundary Wall, Cheltenham Brewery Coy
The Clerk reported that he had met the representatives of the Brewery Company on the spot for the purpose of examining the wall. After surveying it from their property and from the Company's garden they left saying they would see what could be done in the matter.
Cheltenham Bill Posting Coy, Walls at Wallbridge and Dudbridge, Rent
The Committee agreed that the reduced rent of £1..0..0 a year should take effect from 30^th April 1942.
Lockhouse at Dudbridge, Chimneys and WC
It was decided that M^r Hopson should be instructed to proceed with the necessary repair of the chimneys, as to the provision of a WC for the Lockhouse the Clerk was instructed to see M^r Gibbons & obtain an estimate.
Weeds in the Canal at Newtown
A report from the County Analyst was produced and read, stating that after a careful examination of the week he as of the opinion that there was no chemical which would destroy the week which would not at the same time be injurious to fish life. The Committee directed that "Adco" be applied to the weed after dredging from the Canal.
Wharfhouse at Stonehouse, Roof Repair
Reported that M^r Blackwell's £3 to £5 estimate for the repair of the roof of the Wharfhouse at Stonehouse had been accepted and Mr Blackwell had been instructed to proceed accordingly. The Committee approved.
Claim of Shares 84 and 91
William Richard Bloxam of Stroud in the County of Gloucester, Solicitor, attended under a written authority form Beryl Frances Fisher of Vicars Hall Lichfield Staffordshire, Widow, and Francis Colborne Fisher of Deal House, Shinfield Road, Reading, Berkshire, Squadron Leader in the Royal Air Force, Executors of the Will of the Reverend Frederic Colborne Fisher late of Vicars Hall, Lichfield Staffordshire, Clerk who died on the first day of July 1942 and made out their claim to two shares numbered respectively 84 and 91 of the Undertaking of the Stroudwater Navigation Company and now standing in the name of the said Reverend Frederick Colborne Fisher aforesaid in the Books of the said Company by producing the tickets or titles of the said two shares and the Probate of the Will of the said Reverend Frederic Colborne Fisher the said Will proved and registered In His Majesty's High Court of Justice on the first day of July 1942* and that claim was admitted accordingly and new tickets or titles ordered to be made out on the tickets or titles of the said two shares being delivered up.
