Bradley & Son to connect property at Framilode to water supply for £16 16s.
Company to pay £20 towards repairs made to inside of Lock House at Dudbridge by Lockkeeper Wiggall.
Insurance company wanted to increase fire insurance cost by 33⅓%.
[1042 Dec] Committee Meeting held at Wallbridge on Wednesday the 16^th day of December 1942 @ 3 o'clock pm
Present: W R Bloxam, Henry R Hooper, G W Morton Ball, R J C Little.
There being only four Members of the Committee present there was no quorum but there being some matters requiring immediate attention it was decided to proceed with them subject to confirmation by the next Committee,
Property at Framilode, Water Supply
Reported that Messrs Marchant & Lusty were unable to estimate for the work. The Committee discussed an estimate submitted by Messrs Samuel Bradley & Son of Frampton-on-Severn amounting to £16..16..0. It was decided to accept the estimate.
Lockhouse at Dudbridge, Chimneys and WC
Reported that M^r Hopson had been informed of the Committee's offer of £15..-. A letter from him was read, after discussion the Committee decided to increase their offer to £20..-.
Gashouse Bridge and Canal Bank at Downfield, Messrs Mowlem & Coy
In accordance with Minute of last Meeting a letter had been written to Messrs Mowlem. No reply had been received.
Lockhouse at Eastington, Lockkeeper Miles
Reported that Lockkeeper Miles had gone into occupation of the house.
Wharfhouse at Stonehouse, Roof Repairs
Reported that the repair carried out by M^r Percy Blackwell was satisfactory.
Canal Association, War Damage
The Chairman stated that he had settled a letter for the Clerk to send to the Association.
Insurance against fire, Buildings
It was reported that the Insurance Coy had suggested a 33⅓% increase in the premium viz: to £20..11..3 from £15..8..6 and the sum insured to £13,487 from £10..115. After the Chairman had read the Policy the Committee decided to leave it as at present.
Canal
Mr J R Morton Ball's letter of the 27^th October was considered and duly noted for further consideration.
Resolved that the next Meeting of the Committee be held at the Wallbridge Office on the 27^th January 1943 @ 3 o'clock pm and the General Half Yearly Meeting @ 3.30 o'clock pm on same day.
