Stock of London & North Eastern Railway 4% Preference Stock sold and used to buy 3% Nation Defence Loan 1954/58.

The Minutes of the last Meeting were read and confirmed.
Swing Bridge at Saul
The Clerk reported that the repair of this bridge would be undertaken during the week commencing the 23^rd August. The County Surveyor had been notified.
Canal at Whitminster, RAF
In accordance with minute of last Meeting a letter under date the 29^th July 1943 enclosing A/C (£12..10..0) to 30^th June had been written to Flight L^t Fox to which no reply so far had been received.
Leicester Lovell & Coy Ltd, Water Supply
No reply had been received.
Lockhouses at Dudbridge, Repairs, Roof & Wall
M^r Hopson had been instructed to carry out the necessary repair.
Swing Bridges & Lock Gates, Repairs
The Clerk reported that timber had been ordered for the repair of Swing Bridges and Lock Gates.
Sale of Stock, London & North Eastern Railway Company 4% Second Preference Stock
The Chairman stated that in accordance with the Resolution of the General Meeting of the Proprietors held on the 28^th July 1943 this Stock had been sold and the proceeds re-invested in 3% Nation Defence Loan 1954/58.
