RAF Andover proposed that Junction Lock be changed into a dry dock.
Eastington Wharf gates damaged by car driven by a Mr Beresford. Repair costs estimated at £17 10s.

Junction Lock at Saul, Proposal of the RAF Andover to make the Junction Lock into a Dry Dock
The Chairman read a letter from the Maintenance Command RAF Andover. M^r Ball reported an interview he had had with M^r Chadwick of the Works Department and M^r Perry of the Sharpness Docks Company at the Navigations Office at Wallbridge on the 24^th February last. After discussion the Chairman undertook to settle a letter for the Clerk to send to the RAF Maintenance Command Andover, Sharpness Docks Company and to the Ministry of War Transport.
Eastington Wharf Gates, Damage by Motor Car, Mr C Beresford of The Wye, Charfield, Glos
It was reported that damage had been don to the Wharf Gates at Easington by M^r C Beresford on the 25^th February. He had been notified on the 29^th February and had replied March 7^th that he was responsible fo the damage. He had been informed, on the 9^th Mach, that the estimated cost of repairs is £17..10..0. He had not replied. After discussion the Committee decided that a letter should be written to him in about a weeks time.
