Committee would not allow Mr Lee to sublet Wallbridge Wharf House, but would accept a surrender of the property.
[1945 August] Committee Meeting held at Wallbridge on Wednesday the 22^nd day of August 1945 @ 3 o'clock pm
Present: W R Bloxam, G W Morton Ball, R J C Little, Marcus Stewart.
There being only four Members of the Committee present there was no quorum but there being some matters requiring immediate attention it was decided to proceed with them subject to confirmation by the next Committee.
Canal, Lodgemore Pound and Culvert
Reported that the Company's staff had removed some silt and sedge from the Lodgemore Pound by hand scraper.
Stroud Joint Sewerage Scheme
The Chairman read a letter the Clerk had written under date 26^th July to M^r Langley embodying Minutes and Resolutions of the Committee Meeting held on the 20^th June last and M^r Langley's reply thereto stating that the Company's letter would be placed before the next Meeting of the Joint Sewerage Committee.
Bridges at Saul and Framilode
Reported that M^r Hopson had not yet completed the work.
Ministry of Transport, Removal of Temporary Defence Works
Reported that particulars had been forwarded to the War Department Lands Agent at Bath. The Committee directed that a copy be sent to the Admiralty at Bath.
Canal House at Eastington, Faulty Copper
Ordered that any repairs to the brick work be carried out by the Company's staff.
Wharf House at Wallbridge, Tenant Mr G W Lee, Application to sublet part of the house
The Committee was not disposed to grant this but would accept a surrender of the property if M^r Lee no longer required to occupy it.
