Summary

Lease produced by Mr Wyatt, solicitor to Trustees of Stroud Gaslight and Coke Company of small piece of land near Fromehall Bridge. Grant from Company of Proprietors to said trustees to lay down pipes along and under surface of parts of towing path and banks of Navigation for conveying gas from gasometer near Fromehall Bridge to town of Stroud and other places.
Thomas Hanman, Company’s carpenter, grossly misconducted himself. Dismissed from Company’s service.

At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee Room at Walbridge on Thursday the 19^th day of December 1833
Present: M^r Cosham, M^r Wyatt, M^r S Fisher, M^r Tho Croome, M^r Wood, M^r T C Croome, M^r Eycott, M^r Stanton.
Examined the Books and Accounts of the Company.
Ordered that M^r Brisley's Bill for Stationery, etc, amounting to Twenty eight pound thirteen Shillings be paid.
Odered that (in conformity with the Order made at the Special General Meeting of the Proprietors of this Navigation held on the 18^th day of May last) the Seal of this Company be affixed to the Indentures of Lease and Release now produced by M^r Wyatt, Solicitor, being a Conveyance in fee from the Company of Proprietors of this Navigation to the Trustees of the Stroud Gas-light and Coke Company of a small piece of Land situated near Froomehall Bridge; And that the Seal of the Company be also affixed to the Lease or Grant (also produced by M^r Wyatt) from the Company of the Proprietors of this Navigation to the said Trustees of the Stroud Gas-light and Coke Company of licence and permission to lay down Pipes along and under the surface of certain parts of the Towing path & Banks of this Navigation for conveying of Gas from the Gasometer near Froomehall Bridge to the Town of Stroud and other places.
It having been represented to this Committee that Thomas Hanman, the Company's Carpenter, has grossly misconducted himself,
Ordered that our Clerk do dismiss him from the Company's Service.
