Special Meeting. Mr Clegram, engineer of Gloucester & Berkeley Canal Co, explained his plan to take water from River Froome through Navigation, in case Company should consent. Meeting called for 15 January to consider consent to Gloucester & Berkeley Canal Co obtaining Act of Parliament for feeding their canal through Navigation.

At a Special Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee Room at Walbridge on Monday the 6^th Day of January 1884
Present: M^r Cosham, M^r Eycott, M^r Grazebrook, M^r Jos Fisher, M^r P H Fisher, M^r T C Croome, M^r S Fisher, M^r Wyatt, M^r Wood.
M^r Clegram, the Engineer of the Gloucester and Berkeley Canal Company attended this Meeting and explained the plan by which he proposed to take water from the River Froome through this Navigation for feeding their Canal in case the Company should consent to their feeding through the Navigation.
Ordered that a Committee Meeting be called for Wednesday the fifteenth Instant to take into consideration the General Question whether they will consent to the Gloucester and Berkeley Canal Company obtaining and Act of Parliament for feeding their Canal through our Navigation, and on what terms. And that a Special General Meeting of the Proprietors of the Navigation be called for Wednesday the Twenty second Instant for determining the same.
