Minutes of survey of canal of 13 August not recorded in this book to be added after these minutes.
Following enclosure of waste water weir near Oil Mills, Mr Lewis is required to fence off his own land from the weir and land of Company and to remove fence separating same from towing path or adjust same or make a gate to allow free access of Company to weir.
At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee Room at Walbridge on Thursday the 17^th Day of December 1835
Present: M^r Joseph Fisher. M^r Holbrow, M^r Sam^l Fisher, M^r P H Fisher, M^r Cosham, M^r Wood, D^r Darke, M^r F Eycott, M^r Wyatt.
Examined the Books & Accounts of the Company.
Ordered that the following Bills and accounts be paid, viz:
Samuel Smith: £11.18:2
W^m Longney, for Bricks: 3.0.0
Daniel Wilkins, paint, etc: 1..18.2½.
Ordered that the Minutes of the Committee, who surveyed the Canal on the 13^th August last, be entered in this Book, immediately after the minutes of this present Committee (the same having been omitted in its proper place) and that in future the Minutes of any Committee of Survey, though held elsewhere, shall be duly inserted in this Book of Minutes of the Committee.
Ordered (with reference to the Minutes of the aforesaid Committee of Survey, as to the enclosure of the Waste Water Weir near Oil Mills, by M^R Lewis) That M^r Lewis be required forthwith to fence off his own Land from the said Weir and the aforementioned(?) Land of this Company, and to remove the fence which separated the same from the Towing path there - or do adjust the same, or do make a gate therein so as to allow the free access of the Agents of this Company to their said Weir, for all necessary purposes.
