Examined the Books and Accounts of the Company.
Mr Allen Mason attended for the purpose of explaining the accident caused by his Boat to the Lock at Dudbridge with a view to reduce the Charge made upon him for the damages: it was determined to remite £5 of the sum clained by Mr Hawker's Letter of 25th February, and to charge £20 as a recompense, and the same was communicated to him.
Read the letter of Mr Henry Newman as Clerk to the Hon Commissioners of the Lightpill & Birdlip Road respecting the Hedge ir Fence of the Garden near the Anchor.
Read a letter from the Clerk of the Gloucester & Berkeley Canal Company requesting permission to convey certain materials from Framilode to Gloucester free of tonnage on our Canal - and also the letter of our Clerk in reply acceding to the request.
Read a letter dated 4th inst from Mr John George containing sundry requests as to the abatement of Tonnage, Drawback for this.
It being represented that the Crane at Wallbridge Wharf is insufficient - Ordered that Mr Holbrow do make enquiries at Gloucester as to the price of a Crane competent to raise about five Tons and report to the next Committee.
