Enclosed space to be set apart at Company’s expense on Wallbridge Wharf for depositing coals by Mr N S Marling, at his request.

At a General half Yearly Meeting of the Proprietors of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the George Inn Stroud on Thursday the 28^th day of April 1836
John Holbrow Esa^r in the Chair.
The minutes of the last General Meeting were read and confirmed.
The several Books and Accounts were produced respecting the affairs of the Company (as directed by Act of Parliament) and were examined and confirmed.
It appears by the Accounts that the sum of £3359..18..8 has been received for Tonnage, etc, from the 12^th day of October last to the 12^th day of April Instant; a part of which has been applied towards the payment of Wages, disbursments, etc, and that there remains in the Treasurers Hands (after paying the last dividend) the sum of £2963..16..7.
Ordered that a Dividend to fourteen pounds and ten Shillings be paid on each Share by the Treasurers on the second day of May next; and that our Clerk do transmit circular Letters to all the Proprietors to inform them that they may draw upon the Treasurers or apply to them for the payment of the same.
The following Gentlemen are appointed a Committee for the ensuing Year:-
M^r Cosham, Tho^s Croome, T C Croome, D^r Darke, Fred Eycott, P H Fisher, Jos^h F Fisher, John Holbrow, W^m Stanton, George Wathen, W^m Wood, Henry Wyatt.
Ordered that Charles Harrison's estimate for building the Wall as Walbridge be accepted.
A letter for M^r Allan Mason having been read relating to the claim made on him and his Copartner for damage done to the Lock at Dudbridge (as alluded to in the Minutes of the last Committee) restating his objections to the Claim made on him -
Ordered that the Committee do offer to M^r Mason (in reply) to submit the Question to Reference; and in case of his refusal to acquiese therein, - the Committee do Sue M^r Mason & his Copartner for damages, unless otherwise advised by Counsel.
Ordered that (in conformity with the Request of M^r N S Marling in his letter now read) on inclosed space be set apart (at the Expence of this Company) on Walbridge Wharf for the depositing of Coals by him; and that of Clerk do inform him of this order - and forthwith do make the inclosure accordingly.
A letter from M^r John George (of the Date of the 4^th inst^t) being read - Ordered that the same be referred to the decision of the Committee.
